Chaeseok River is a representative landscape of Buan and is located in Gyeokpo, at the western end of the Byeonsan Peninsula.
The geological features of this place include Precambrian granite and gneiss. The bedding of sedimentary rock that had been sedimented during the Cretaceous Period (about 70 million years ago) of the Mesozoic Era looks like a pile of ten thousands of books and conveys a mystic feel.
It is very similar to Chaeseok River frequently visited by Tae-Baek Lee of the Tang Dynasty.
