Revamping AREA
현재 가동중인 AREA 내의 소음도가 향후 plant 준공 후 area에 미칠 영향을 평가하기 위해 area내 7개 지점(P25~P31)을 선정하여 측정한 결과 66.6~82.7dBA로 조사되었다. battery limit로부터 600m떨어진 any point에서의 소음도는 60dBA를 초과하면 안되고, North fence로부터 600m떨어진 지점에서의 소음도는 50dBA 만족해야 한다.
North fence로부터 150m떨어진 지점에서의 소음도는 56.8, 62.4dBA로 측정되었다.
동쪽 Fence로부터 600m떨어진 지점에서의 소음도는 57.9 dBA~61.8dBA로 조사되었다. 이 area의 소음도는 기존공장과 타공장의 가동소음의 영향으로 인해 다소 높게 나타났다.
BOU, IST AREA
새로 건설중인 AREA로서 동쪽 Fence로부터 600m떨어진 지점에서의 소음도는 55 dBA를 초과해서는 안되고, battery limit 600m떨어진 any point에서의 소음도는 60dBA를 초과하지 않아야 한다.
AREA의 동쪽Fence로부터 600m떨어진 지점에서의 소음도는 타공장 flare 소음의 영향으로 55.6~56.5dBA로 조사되었고, 도로를 통과하는 일반차량 외에 건설차량(DUMP TRUCK, etc.)소음의 영향은 최대한 배제하였다. 남쪽 Fence로부터 600m떨어진 지점에서는 50.5, 52.6dBA 로 조사되었다.
배경소음은 측정하고자 하는 대상소음을 배제한 소음을 말한다. 하지만 현재 타 공장 및 기존 공장 소음의 영향으로 대부분의 지역에서 법적기준을 초과하는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 완공 후 Plant에서의 normal operating 시 소음도에 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 Preliminary noise simulation 시 적용할 배경소음에 대하여 discussion 및 보정이 필요하다.
1. MEASUREMENT LOCATION & CONDITION
PROCEDURE에서 선정되었던 50POINT 중 site 여건 상 2지점(P49, P50)은 제외 되었다. 그리고 7지점(P13~P17, P23,P24)은 현장 여건 상 측정이 불가능하여 가능한 가장 근접한 지점에서 측정하였다.

The noise level at any point 600m away from the battery limit should not exceed 60dBA, and the noise level at any point 600m away from the North fence should not exceed 500dBA. Current background noise data are summarized in the following table.
Background noise level at points 600m away from the East and South fences were measured as relatively high due to GASCO factory operation.
Thus, the noise level at points 300m away from each measurement points (P15, 16 and 17) are calculated as follows according to the above formula, and they all satisfy relevant regulations.
Revamping AREA
To evaluate the effect of the operation of existing plants on the noise level of the area following the construction of the new plant, we have measured the noise level of seven points (P25 through P31) in the area between 66.6 and 82.7dBA. The noise level at any point 600m away from the battery limit should not exceed 60dBA, and the noise level at any point 600m away from the North fence should not exceed 500dBA.
Noise levels at points 150m away from the North fence were measured as 56.8 and 62.4dBA.
Noise levels at points 600m away from the East fence were measured between 57.9dBA and 61.8dBA, relatively high due to the operation noise from the existing plant and other factories in the area.

In this area of new construction, noise levels at 600m away from the East fence should not exceed 55dBA, and noise levels at any point 600m away from the battery limit should not exceed 60 dBA.
Noise levels at points 600m away from the East fence of the area were measured between 55.6dBA and 56.5dBA due to the flare noise from other factories, when the noise from construction vehicles (dump trucks, etc.) was excluded as much as possible. Noise levels from points 600m away from the South fence were measured as 50.5 and 52.6dBA.
Background noise refers to the noise excluding the effects from the construction of interest. However, it is clear that the background noise in the area already exceeds the regulations due to existing plants and other factories in the area. Also, the normal operation of the planned plant may have influence on the noise level, necessitating further discussion and revision on the background noise to be used for preliminary noise simulation.

Two points among the originally proposed 50 points were excluded due to site limitations. Measurements at 7 locations (P13 through P17, P23 and P24) were infeasible due to site locations, and were instead carried out at the closest alternative locations available.
