다문화동화 방향성 번역(한국어 원본)다문화동화가 발간된 지 10년의 시간이 되었다. 본 연구는 10년의 시간 동안 다문화동화에 나타난 갈등의 양상과 내용의 변화가 어떻게 전개되는지 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이것은 한국의 현 상황을 보여주고 앞으로의 다문화동화 창작의 방향성을 제시할 수 있기 때문이다.
연구의 분석 대상은 2003년부터 2012년에 발간된 작품으로 갈등요소를 도출해 낼 수 있고 내용적 변화과정을 보여주는 작품이다.
본문에서는 작품에 나타난 이주의 유형으로 노동이주, 가족이주, 결혼이주, 갈등의 양상은 외적 갈등과 내적 갈등으로, 갈등의 요인으로는 가난한 나라에 대한 편견, 인종차별, 문화적 차이로, 대응 양상은 소극적 대응과 적극적 대응으로 나누었다.
본문에서 다룬 내용을 정리하면 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다.
다문화동화에 나타난 이주의 유형은 일자리를 얻기 위한 노동이주, 가족 구성원을 따라 입국한 가족이주, 그리고 결혼을 통한 입국 세 가지 종류이다. 노동이주의 목적이 경제적 이유라면 가족이주는 경제적 이유와 아이들의 교육여건이다. 결혼을 목적으로 입국하는 결혼이주여성은 자신의 더 나은 삶을 향한 능동적인 선택의 의미로 보여진다.
다문화동화에 나타난 갈등의 양상은 언어폭력과 집단따돌림 그리고 폭력의 형태로 나타나는 외적 갈등과 외적 갈등으로 인해 자신안의 갈등으로 이어지는 내적 갈등이 있다. 내적 갈등은 가족과의 갈등과 정체성 혼란이다.
갈등의 요인으로 한국인이 가지고 있는 편견은 가난한 나라에 대한 편견과 서구 사회 관점에서 바라본 인종차별이다. 또한, 문화의 차이를 인정하지 못하는‘단일민족’시선이라고 볼 수 있다.
대응 양상으로 소극적인 대응과 적극적인 대응으로 분류하여 살펴본 결과 이주노동자와 결혼이주여성은 주로 소극적인 대응을 했다. 이주가정 아이들이 친구들의 놀림에 소극적인 태도를 보였다면 다문화가정 아이들은 갈등이 자신의 정체성 문제로 확대됐다.
점차 다문화동화는 아이들의 시선으로 아이들의 기준에 맞는 보편적인 문제들, 친구와의 관계 등으로 방향성이 달라지고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 그러나 다문화가정 아이들을 한국인으로만 만들려고 하는 의지는 동화 속에서 여전히 강하게 드러났다. 그이유로 다문화주의라는 용어에 집착할 뿐 의미에는 중점을 두지 않기 때문이라고 여겨진다. 다문화주의는 국가의 사회통합정책에서 가지고 온 용어이고 의미는 공존이다. 다문화주의 의미에 적절한 시선으로 디아스포라 관점을 제언한다. |
다문화동화 방향성 번역(영어 번역본)The multi-cultural fairy tales were published 10 years ago. The purpose of this study is to examine how the conflicts in the multi-cultural fairy tales and their contents changed in the course of 10 years. For it will show the current status of Korea, and present the direction of the creative writing of multi-cultural fairy tales.
This study analyzed those stories published between 2003 and 2012 which can derive conflict factors and show how the contents change.
In this study, the types of migration in those stories are divided into labor migration, family migration and marriage migration, and conflicts are divided into external conflicts and internal conflicts. The causes of conflicts are divided into prejudice against poor countries, racial discrimination and cultural differences, and responses are divided into passive responses and active responses.
What this paper deals with can be summarized as follows:
The types of migration, appearing in multi-cultural fairy tales, are labor migration for getting a job, family migration, i.e. people entering the country following their family members, and immigration by marriage. If the purpose of labor migration is economy, the purpose of family migration is economy and education for their children. Women immigrating for marriage are thought to have made a proactive choice to improve their life.
The conflicts in multi-cultural fairy tales are external conflicts in the form of verbal violence, bullying and violence, and internal violence resulting from the internalization of external conflicts. Internal conflicts are conflicts with the family and identity crisis.
The causes of conflicts are Korean’s prejudice against poor countries, and racial discrimination seen from the western point of view. Another cause of conflicts is the ‘single-nation’ viewpoint that does not recognize cultural differences.
Responses are classified into passive responses and active responses. Migrant workers and female immigrants married to Korean men mostly responded passively. If the children of migrant families showed a passive attitude when they were made fun of by their friends, the children of multi-cultural families saw their conflicts extended to their identify crisis.
It was confirmed that multi-cultural fairy tales are gradually becoming universal problems seen from the viewpoint of children, and relationship with their friends. However, the will to make the children of multi-cultural families into Koreans only was still strong. It seems that the reason is that they are obsessed with the term multiculturalism, but do not place any stress on its meaning. Multiculturalism is a term originating from the state’s social integration policy, and it means co-existence. The viewpoint of diaspora is proposed as an appropriate perspective on the meaning of multiculturalism. |
