스포츠 번역(한국어 원본)본 연구는 국·내외에서 선행되었던 미디어스포츠와 스포츠미디어 연구를 토대로 ‘미디어스포츠’와 ‘스포츠미디어’의 개념 정립과 이들의 연구 분류를 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 기술적(descriptive) 접근방법과 문헌조사를 통해 Wenner(1998)가 정립한 미디어스포츠의 개념과 한국스포츠사회학 분야에서 대표적인 학회지로 평가되는 한국스포츠사회학회지에 미디어스포츠를 주제어로 한 22편의 선행연구를 바탕으로 미디어스포츠와 스포츠미디어의 개념을 정립하였다. 그 결과 미디어스포츠는 매스미디어에 의해서 각색되고 편집되어 수용자에게 전달되는 스포츠 기사와 보도 프로그램의 내용을 말하는 것으로 정의될 수 있다. 즉, 스포츠라는 원재료를 바탕으로 스포츠미디어의 이해관계자들을 통해 재생산된 물화적 특성을 띠며, 다시 수용자들에게 전달되어 소비되는 것을 일컫는다. 반면 스포츠미디어는 복합적 생산체로, 생산자로서의 역할은 물론 일간신문, 스포츠 뉴스 프로그램 또는 방송보도 프로그램의 분석에 중점을 둔 전통적인 미디어 기능에 관한 연구로 볼 수 있었다. 생산과 공급의 주체인 스포츠미디어의 발전과 미디어스포츠의 컨텐츠적인 요소는 상호공생적인 요소로 간주되므로 향후 진행될 미디어스포츠와 스포츠미디어 연구는 세부 연구영역 분류를 통한 접근은 물론 이를 바탕으로 한 사회적 관계 이해, 스포츠사회학 측면에서의 인간의 행동양식을 제시해야 할 것이다. 끝으로 본 연구의 한계점은 연구 대상으로 삼았던 22편의 모든 연구를 미디어스포츠와 스포츠미디어의 개별적인 연구범주에 포함시키지 못한 것으로써, 연구 체계의 정립은 향후 진행될 심도 높은 연구 과제로 진행되었으면 하는 점 등을 제언하였다. |
스포츠 번역(영어 번역본)The objectives of this study were to establish the principles of ‘Media Sports’ and ‘Sports Media’ and their classification based on the studies carried out in these areas from both in Korea and abroad in the past. Through descriptive approach and paper review, this study established the principles of media sports and sports media based on the media sports principle of Wenner (1998) and the 22 previous studies that were carried out under the heading of media sports and that which were published in the Korean Society for the Sociology of Sport – which is regarded as the most famous publication in the field of Korean Sports Sociology. The conclusion in short, is that media sports can be defined as the contents of the sports articles and news programs that are edited and dramatized by the mass media before being delivered to the users. That is, the original contents – that is sports, is reprocessed by the sports media and its personnel before being delivered to the users. In contrast, Sports Media is a composite product which not only plays the role of a manufacturer but also focuses in the analysis of daily newspapers, sports news, programs and broadcasting news programs. Because the development of sports media which is the main producer and supplier and the media sports as the content provider are assumed to coexist – the future studies in these areas should not only be approached from the perspective of classification of specific research areas, but should also focus in proposing the human activities from the perspectives of social relationship and sports sociology. Lastly, the limitation of this study was that all 22 papers that were reviewed for this study could not be included in the individual study areas for media sports and sports media. So it was proposed that the establishment of the systematic study should be left as a task for future comprehensive studies. |
