세라젬 기술연구소 UL WTDP & CB-TMP Lab 인증

세라젬 기술연구소는 국내 의료기기 업체 중 GE(초음파), 지멘스(초음파), 메디아나 (환자감시장치), 뷰웍스(엑스레이)에 이어 5번째로, 온열기 업체로는 최초로 UL korea(Underwriters Laboratories Inc.)로부터 UL WTDP(Witness Test Data Program) & CB-TMP(Testing on Manufacturers Premises) 시험소로 인정을 받고 2009년 9월 10일 UL koera 이영주 상무로부터 승인패를 받았습니다.

이로서 세라젬 기술연구소는 UL Engineer의 참관하에 당사에서 개발, 생산되는 의료용 기기(UL/IEC/EN60601-1)에 대해서 자체 시설 및 시험장비로 자체 연구원이 실시한 시험 Data를 이용하여 UL 인증 및 CB/CE 인증을 취득할 수 있는 자격을 갖게 되었습니다.

이번 UL WTDP & CB-TMP 시험소 인증은 설비, 인원, 매뉴얼 등 각 항목에 대해 UL koera의 엄격한 심사를 거쳐 승인된 만큼 세라젬 기술연구소의 시설 및 시험장비 등이 UL 시험소와 동등한 수준이며 시험 수행 능력이 있는 연구원을 갖추었다는 것을 공식 인증받았다고 볼 수 있습니다.

그동안 해외 인증업무를 외부 사설 시험소나 승인기관에 위탁하여 진행하던 것을 연구소내에서 진행할 수 있게 됨으로서 인증 기간의 단축과 비용절감 효과를 얻을 수 있게 되었으며 UL의 전문 Engineer와 공동업무를 진행하게 됨으로써 기술전수를 받을 수 있는 좋은 기회를 갖게 되었습니다.

이는 회사가 R&D 분야에 지속적인 투자와 관심을 가진 결과라 할 수 있습니다.

기술연구소 최병원 소장은 “Group 매출 10조 달성을 위한 본사의 사업 다각화에 발맞추어 정확한 시험과 분석 결과를 도출할 수 있는 시험 환경을 지속적으로 조성하겠다”라는 포부를 밝혔으며 “다음 단계인 CTDP(Client Test Data Program) Lab 인증도 빠른 시일 안에 받을 수 있도록 매진 하겠다“라는 계획도 함께 피력했습니다.

CERAGEM Research Center UL WTDP & CB-TMP Lab Certification

CERAGEM Research center was is now certified as a UL WTDP (Witness Test Data Program) & CB-TMP (Testing on Manufacturers Premises) from UL Korea (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.). This is the first time among the medical heating device manufacturers and the 5th among the medical equipment companies in Korea. It was presented with the official certification on 10th Sep 2009. The presenter was Mr Young Joo Lee, an Executive of UL Korea.

Therefore, CERAGEM now has the authority to obtain the UL and CB/CE certifications with the test data acquired from its self in-house test carried out by its own researchers using its own equipments and devices for the medical equipments (UL/IEC/EN60601-1) it manufactures under the inspection of UL Engineers.

As for the certification presented to CERAGEM this time round, it was done under strict examination by UL Korea in every area including equipments, manpower and manuals. Therefore it can be said that CERAGEM’s equipments and test devices in its research center are as good as UL test center, and also of the quality of the researchers in carrying out the tests.

Up until now, such international certifications processes were commissioned to 3rd party organizations. So it’ll be so cost and time saving when such a process can now be performed within CERAGEM’s research center itself. And as there will be lots of opportunities to co-work with UL expert engineers, more technology transfers can now be anticipated.

This is a direct result of CERAGEM’s continuous investment and interest in R&D.

The center head, Mr Byung Won Soh pledged that the test environment will continuously be improved to produce precise test data to be in line with the company’s aim to make 100 billion won revenue. He also commented on the center’s next plan; to focus on obtaining the certification for CTDP (Client Test Data Program).
