Using Real-Time READ™ technology, this product simultaneously tests for and discriminates between influenza A virus, seasonal Influenza A (H1), seasonal influenza A (H3), and zoonotic influenza A virus.
 
Although swine influenza A (H1N1) and seasonal influenza A (H1 and H3) share their epidemic season and display similar symptoms, the antiviral drug differs for each subtype. Magicplex™ FluA 4 Real-Time Subtyping accurately identifies the influenza virus subtype, aiding the prescription of the appropriate antiviral drug. In addition, it can prevent the unnecessary use of antiviral drugs, and help formulate an epidemic management plan quickly by identifying the virus subtype involved.
 
Advantages of the product
– It simultaneously detects and distinguishes between swine influenza A (2009 H1N1), seasonal influenza A(H1), seasonal influenza A (H3), and zoonotic influenza A, from a single tube.
– It enables the extraction and the RT-PCR processes to be checked using RNase P genes through internal control.
– The results can be acquired in 3 hours and 40 minutes after extraction.
