어린이 천재 고고학자 ‘윈스턴’은 할아버지의 고대유물 큐브를 관찰하던 도중 갑자기 알 수 없는 세계로 빠지고 만다.
어리둥절해 있는 자신을 놀란 눈으로 바라보는 개 ‘루트’.
‘Canine world’ 이 곳은 우리가 살고 있는 세계와 똑같지만 인간대신 개들이 살고 있는 곳이다.
윈스턴이 만진 큐브는 차원의 문을 열 수 있는 고대의 신비한 힘을 가지고 있었다.
‘윈스턴’이 문을 통과하자 차원의 문이 닫히면서 큐브조각은 여러 고대 유적지로 흩어져버린다. 다시 인간세계로 돌아가기 위해 인간, 윈스턴과 개, 루트는 할아버지가 남겨놓은 메모를 단서로 하여 Canine world 각지에 흩어져 있는 큐브조각을 찾기 위해 모험을 떠나게 된다.
하지만 큐브조각들은 몬스터와 부비트랩이 보호하고 있다. 큰 건을 잡기 위해 윈스턴을 쫓아다니는 유적 도굴꾼 디거(digger)일당!
인간을 사냥하는 다크나이트의 추격!
큐브조각의 비밀을 풀어갈수록 밝혀지는 루트와 윈스턴의 과거와 Canine world의 역사. 그리고 베르만수도회(종교단체)의 비밀!
각 화(Episode)마다 한 개의 큐브조각을 찾게 되고 26개의 큐브조각을 모두 모으기 위해 그들은 모험을 계속하게 된다.

11세의 남자 꼬마 아이이다.
천재와 모험가적 기질을 모두 가지고 있다.
쾌활한 성격으로 어떤 어려움이 닥쳐도 해쳐나갈 만큼 한없이 긍정적이고 낙관적이다.
생각난 아이디어에 대해 말을 하는 습관이 있어 말이 많다.
궁금한 것이 있을 때 그냥 지나치지 못하며 반드시 문제를 풀어야만 하는 강박증 같은 것을 가지고 있다.
할아버지가 남겨놓은 고대유물을 만지던 중 개의 세계로 들어오게 된다.
개의 세계에서 처음으로 만나게 된 ‘루트’, 기계공학에 뛰어난 ‘사라’와 친구가 된다.
할아버지가 남겨놓은 메모를 단서로 하여 큐브 조각을 찾기 위한 모험을 떠나게 된다.
모험 도중 차원의 문을 넘어 존재하는 고대역사의 비밀을 알게 되고 자신의 할아버지에 대해 가지고 있었던 오해도 풀게 된다.
인간의 세계로 돌아가기 위해 퍼즐의 비밀을 하나하나 풀어나가는 일행의 리더다.
많은 지식을 가지고 있으며 특히 고고학과 관련된 역사, 미술, 언어 등에 많은 지식을 가지고 있어 어려운 상형문자를 해독하거나 방대한 양의 역사를 줄줄이 꿰고 있다.
고소 공포증 때문에 높은 곳에 있는 것과 생선을 싫어한다.
자신을 Canine world에 끌어들인 개 친구 루트와는 늘 티격태격하는 사이이지만, 루트를 진심으로 믿고 있다.

애니메이션 번역(영어 번역본)Plot
A mere child, yet an archaeological genius, Winston, suddenly find himself in an unknown world while studying his grandfather’s ancient cube artifact.
Watching Winston dumbfounded, is a dog by the name “Root”.
‘Canine world’ is the world he is in. It’s a world of dogs, but otherwise same as our world of humans.
The cube which Winston touched had ancient powers to open the worlds from different dimensions.
As Winston passes through, the door to the different dimensional world promptly closes and the pieces of the cube are scattered throughout various ancient ruins. In order to return to the human world, Winston and the dog Root, set upon an adventure to find all the missing cube pieces scattered around the Canine world. Their only clue is a memo written by Winston’s grandfather. But beware, the cube pieces are guarded by monsters and booby traps. The “Diggers”, who are treasure thieves, are after Winston to make that big ‘find’.
Dark Knights, human hunters, eagerly chase Winston and Root.
Root’s and Winston’s past and the Canine world’s history are unveiled as the secrets behind the cube pieces start to unfold, along with the secrets of Berman Monastery.
In each episode, one cube piece is found. And to find all 26 pieces, Winston and Root must continue on their adventure. A child archaeological genius, Winston Timberland Winston is an 11 year old boy.
He has both the character of a genius and an adventurer.
He is a bright kid and has an extremely positive character to get through any kind of hardships.
He doesn’t hesitate to speak out his ideas, so he tends to be very talkative.
He is a curious child who simply cannot bypass anything that he is curious about. Faced with a problem, he simply must resolve it.
While playing with an ancient artifact which his grandfather left behind, he falls into this “Canine World”.
Winston meets Root in the Canine World, and he also befriends Sarah, who is gifted in mechanical engineering.
He launches on an epic adventure in search of cube pieces. His only clue is a memo his grandfather left behind.
During this adventure, Winston crosses over to the other side of the dimensional world and finds out the secrets of ancient world and also resolves the misunderstanding he had of his grandfather.
Winston is the leader of the group, and they uncover the puzzles one by one to return to the human world.
He is very knowledgeable especially in archaeology, history, arts and different languages, so he is so good at interpreting complex ancient scripts and has vast amount of information about the history from the top of his head.
Winston is afraid of height, and he hates fish.
Although he quarrels often with Root, who brought him into the Canine World, he truly trusts Root. |
