시계 소리가 계속 들리고, 시간이 흘러 현재 시각 4시. GAVIN은 책상에 앉아 담배만 계속 피고 있고, 그 여자는 아무 말 없이 GAVIN 옆 소파에 앉아있다.
시간이 흘러 현재 시각 4시 44분. ISABEL 조심스럽게 일어나 GAVIN 옆으로가 살포시 GAVIN 어깨에 손을 얹고 말한다.
ISABEL
(차분하게) 갈 시간이야…
GAVIN 피던 담배를 재떨이에 끄고 서류와 녹음기를 가방에 챙기고는 방문을 나간다.
EXT. 아파트 밖 – 오후
아파트에서 나와 차를 타고 간다. 차에서 담배에 불을 붙인뒤 씨디 플레이버튼을 누른다. (노래_Can-Sing Swan Song)
INT. 더러운 화장실
ALBIN(27)새하얀 벽에 기대어 앉아 헤드폰을 낀 채 눈을 감고 음악에 심취해 있다. (MUSIC-DUBSTEP_SWAN SONG) 갑자기 일어나 양손에 핸드폰을 움켜쥔 채 춤을 추기 시작한다. (마지막 몸부림 같은…) (밑에서 얼굴 클로즈업) 춤을 추다가 갑자기 통증을 느낀다. 너무 아파 쓰러진다. 매우 고통스러워한다. 변기로 가서 변기를 붙잡고 구토를 한다. 힘에 겨워 마지막 남은 한 개의 몰핀에 주사기를 꼽고 안으로 빨아들인다. (주위에는 빈 몰핀 엠플통 및 각종 진통제) 바닥에 있던 고무줄로 팔을 묶고 주사를 맞는다. 고통스러워 바닥을 기어서 욕조 안으로 겨우 들어간다. 샤워기를 틀어 놓은 채 욕조 안에서 시름시름 누워 물을 맞고 있다.

EXT. HOSPICE CENTER PARKING LOT – 초저녁
호스피스 센터 주차장에 도착한다. 피던 담배를 열린 창문 밖으로 던지고 차에서 내린다. 차에 내려 평화로운 밖을 천천히 둘러본다. 그리고는 호스피스센터가 적힌 현판을 쳐다보고는 센터 안으로 들어간다.
INT. HOSPICE CENTER INFORMATION DESK- 초저녁
GAVIN 센터 안으로 들어가 인포메이션데스크에서 DR. WHITE 오피스를 물어본다.
GAVIN
실례지만, DR. WHITE 오피스가 어디죠?
안내원
무슨 일로 찾아오셨나요? 어포인먼트는 잡으셨나요?
GAVIN
네, 5시로 잡혀있습니다.
안내원
잠시만 앉아서 기다려주세요.
안내원이 전화로 확인한 후 GAVIN에게 들어가라 말한다. GAVIN 일어나 시계를 확인한 후 DR. WHITE 오피스로 간다. 노크를 하려고 하자 문이 먼저 열리고는 창백한 남자(ALBIN,27)가 나오면서 GAVIN과 눈을 마주치고는 스쳐 지나간다. (SLOW MOTION)
int. dr. white’s office – 초저녁
Dr.White이 악수를 건넨다.
Dr. white
만나서 반갑습니다. Gavin 감독님. 이리로 앉으시죠.
Gavin과 Dr.White 서로 가볍게 인사를 건넨 후 자리에 앉는다.
GAVIN
바쁘실 텐데 이렇게 인터뷰에 흔쾌히 응해주셔서 정말 감사합니다.

이번 제 영화가 죽음을 앞둔 사람들과 그리고 그 들을 보내는 사람들의 이야기를 다루는데 박사님과의 인터뷰가 많은 도움이 될 것이라 믿습니다.
DR. WHITE

그리고 시작하기에 앞서 인터뷰 내용 전체가 녹음 기록이 된다는 점을 미리 양해 부탁드립니다. 괜찮으십니까?
DR. WHITE
물론입니다.

GAVIN
인터뷰를 시작하겠습니다. 먼저 간단한 자기소개 부탁드립니다.
DR. WHITE
제 이름은 Anna White, 심리학 박사 및 정신과 의사이고 지금은 현재 죽음을 앞둔 환자 dying patient에 대해서 계통적인 연구를 하고 있습니다.
GAVIN
그럼 박사님은 죽음을 앞둔 환자들을 많이 보셨겠군요?
DR. WHITE
그렇습니다. 보시다시피 수 백, 수천 명도 넘게 봐왔습니다.
GAVIN
사람들은 자신의 죽음이 눈앞에 다가왔다는 사실을 알았을 때 어떤 반응을 보입니까?
DR. WHITE
죽어가는 수백 명의 말기 환자들을 대상으로 한 임상연구 결과, 죽음의 과정이 5단계를 거쳐서 이루어진다는 것을 알아냈습니다. 죽음의 5단계 과정 부정, 분노, 타협, 우울, 수용 이 5단계를 죽음 5단계라고 합니다…

연극대본 번역(영어 번역본)Just then, a woman (ISABEL,33) enters with a cup of coffee on the tray. Putting the coffee on the desk, she puts together the scripts from the floor and puts on them on the desk. A Post-It is on the document (5pm – Dr. White’s office)
The clock keeps ticking and now it is 4 o’clock. Gavin sits on the desk, smoking and the woman sits on a couch beside Gavin without saying a word.
Now it is 4:44 and Isabel slowly stands up, goes to Gavin, puts her hand on Gavin’s shoulder and says.
ISABEL
(Calmly) Time to go.
GAVIN puts out the cigarette in the ashtray, puts the document and the recorder into a bag and exits the room.
EXT. Outside apartment-afternoon
Getting out of the apartment and driving in his car. After lightening a cigarette in the car, he presses the CD play button (Music_Can-Sing Swan Song)
INT. Dirty bathroom
ALVIN(27) leans against the white wall and listens to the music with his eyes closed and headphones on(MUSIC-DUBSTEP_SWAN SONG). Suddenly he stands up and starts dancing holding the headphones(like one last struggle) (Close up the face from the below) He feel a sudden pain while dancing. It hurts and he drops. He feels a great pain. He goes to the toilet and vomits in it by holding the toilet. He inserts a needle into the one last morphine and inhales it due to the pain(empty morphine ample and a variety of pain killers lying about) He binds his arm with a rubber band which was on the floor and injects the needle. With the pain, he barely crawls into the bath tub. He lies in the bath tub in agony and the water from the shower hits his body and face.

EXT. HOSPICE CENTER PARKING LOT – early evening
He arrives at the parking lot of a hospice center. Tossing the cigarette from the open window, he gets out of the car. He looks around the peaceful world outside and looks at the nameplate of the hospice center, entering the center.
INT. HOSPICE CENTER INFORMATION DESK- Early evening
Gavin enters the center, goes to the information desk and asks about the location of Dr. White’s office.
GAVIN
Excuse me, where is Dr. White’s office?
Desk clerk
What can I help you with? Do you have an appointment?
GAVIN
Yes. I have an appointment at 5 o’clock.
Desk clerk
Please be seated and wait a moment.
The desk clerk confirms the appointment by phone and tells Gavin to enter. Gavin stands up, checks the clock and goes to Dr. White’s office. When he tries knocking on the door, the door swings open and a pale guy (ALVIN, 27) comes out and passes by and they make eye contact (SLOW MOTION).
int. dr. white’s office – early evening
Dr. White offers a hand.
Dr. White
Nice to meet you, Director Gavin. Please have a seat.
Gavin and Dr. White exchange greetings and take seats.
GAVIN
Thanks for making the time for the interview.
INSERT: Numerous diplomas are hung about the wall: there is a psychiatrist doctorate, director of the hospice center and several other certificates
DR. WHITE
It’s my pleasure. What can I help you with?
Gavin takes out the document, a pen and a recorder from his bag.
GAVIN
I am writing a story about people facing death and those who take care of them and I think your interview would help me a lot.
DR. WHITE
I will do my best.
GAVIN
Before the start, I want to tell you the whole interview will be recorded. Would that be okay with you?
DR. WHITE
Sure
Gavin presses the recorder’s button.
GAVIN
Now we will start the interview. At first I will ask you to briefly introduce yourself.
DR. WHITE
I am Anna White, psychology doctor and psychiatrist, and now I am conducting systematic research on dying patients.
GAVIN
Then you met many dying patients?
DR. WHITE
Yes, I do. I met hundreds and thousands of them.
GAVIN
What do they do when they know that death is upon them?
DR. WHITE
In the results of clinical trials on hundreds of terminal patients, the death is composed of 5 stages. The five stages are negation, anger, compromise, depression, and acceptance, which are called the 5 stages of death.
