대구시, 2009년 음식문화개선사업 우수기관으로 선정
대구시가 보건복지가족부가 주관한 2009년 음식문화개선사업 16개 시·도 대상 평가에서 우수기관으로 선정돼 보건복지가족부장관 표창패를 받는다. 또한 대구시 구·군 평가에서 최우수구로 선정된 수성구도 보건복지부가족부장관 표창패를 받는다.

대구시는 지난 10월 복지부주관으로 2009 음식문화개선사업 16개 시·도 대상 종합평가에서 종전 식품안전관리 차원을 넘어서 지역 음식산업을 육성하고, 2011대구세계육상선수권대회 등 각종 국제행사를 대비해 음식관광도시 기반을 구축하고자 추진한 ‘맛 고장, 대구’육성전략사업이 획기적 사업추진 성과를 인정받아 우수기관으로 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다고 밝혔다.

또한, 선진 음식문화개선사업의 추진 및 ‘들안길 먹거리타운’ 선정에 기여한 공로를 인정받은 수성구청 김종태 식품위생담당, 두산동 삼수장어식당 장영진 대표도 함께 보건복지가족부장관상을 수상하는 성과를 거양했다.

그동안 대구시는 친절한 대구식당 만들기, 대표음식 육성, 지난 11월 제8회 대구음식관광박람회 개최, (사)대구음식문화포럼 설립, 외식산업최고경영자 양성과정 운영, 음식 홈페이지 콘텐츠 강화 등 4개 핵심과제 10개 세부시행계획을 수립 음식업 대구시지회(지회장 하영수), (사)대구음식문화포럼(회장 권원강)과 민관합동으로 유기적인 협조체계아래 성공적으로 추진 시책사업 시작 첫해에 아주 큰 성과를 이루었다고 설명했다.

대구시 관계자는 “이번 성과를 시작으로 내년에는 대구음식의 전국화를 위한 홍보마케팅 전략을 포함한 새로운 시책의 세부실행계획을 조기에 수립 시행하겠다”며 “특히 복지부의 남은 음식 재사용 안하기 시범사업인 ‘원스푸드’캠페인 2개 특화거리(중구 동인동 찜갈비 골목, 수성구 들안길 먹거리타운)에 내년도에는 국비가 지원되는 등‘맛 고장, 대구’정착을 위해 전략적으로 시책들을 적극적으로 전개하여 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Daegu – Recognized as an Exemplary Organization for 2009 Food Culture Betterment Project

Daegu will receive an official commendation from the Minister of the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs after being recognized as an exemplary organization in the assessment of 16 cities/provinces for 2009 Food Culture Betterment Project sponsored by the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs. Also, Suseong-gu, which has been recognized as an outstanding district in the assessment of districts/county in Daegu, will receive an official commendation from the Minister of the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs.

Daegu city has been promoting ‘Daegu – A Tasteful City’ to revitalize regional food industries beyond food safety management and to strengthen Daegu’s food tourism in preparation for various upcoming international events such as the 2011 Daegu World Track and Field Athletic Championship, and the city clarifies that the innovative achievements of this strategy project has been recognized and ultimately led to being selected as an exemplary organization in the comprehensive assessment of 16 cities/provinces for 2009 Food culture Betterment Project sponsored by the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs.

Also, the Ministerial Award from the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs will be given to Jong-Tae Kim, who is in charge of food hygiene program at Suseong District Office, and Yeong-Jin Chang, the owner of Samsu Eel Restaurant in Dusan-dong, in recognition of their contribution to the promotion of advanced Food Culture Betterment Project and the selection of ‘Deulangil – a food town’.

Daegu city has established 4 core projects with 10 detailed execution plans, which includes making Daegu restaurants friendly, nurturing Daegu’s representative food, hosting 8th Daegu Food Tourism Expo in last November, establishing Daegu Food Culture Forum, training leaders of dining industry, and strengthening the contents of food homepage. Daegu city explains that a great achievement has been accomplished in the very first year since the starting of the policy project under the organic cooperative system of private-public cooperation with Korean Restaurant Association Daegu (Regional Chairman Yeong-Su Ha) and Daegu Food Culture Forum (Chairman Won-Kang Kwon).

“We’ll get right to work on establishing detailed execution plans for new policies including marketing strategies for spreading Daegu food nationwide next year based on this year’s success. Especially, we plan on developing policies more strategically for the launching of ‘Daegu – A Tasteful City’ with the next year’s government fund support on two special streets (Jjimgalbi Alley in Dongin-dong, Joong-gu & Deulan-gil Food Town in Suseong-gu) that practice ‘Once Food’ Campaign, a pilot project of not reusing the left over food, sponsored by the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs”, clarified Daegu city personnel.
