전국 최대 규모의 상사화 자생지로서의 불갑면을 전국에 널리 알리고, 주변관광자원과 연계한 관광 일번지로서 지역민의 자긍심 고취를 위한 이미지를 표현하였으며, 불갑산 전체에 마치 붉은 융단을 깔아 놓은 듯한 장관을 어린아이와 함께하는 배경으로 담아 꽃길을 걸으며 참사랑의 의미를 되새겨보는 이미지 연상을 함축하였다.
아울러, ‘천년의 사랑 상사화로 피어나다’ 축제테마를 강조하여 상사화에 대한 꽃말을 연상시키는 디자인을 사용하였다.
③ 글로리 영광타워 (이정환, 심장보, 장지영)
디자인 켄셉은 ‘천년의 빛을 담는 기(器)’로 영광군의 조화와 화합, 세계속에 단합된 의지 및 발전을 기원 하는 세계속의 천년의 빛을 형상화 하였으며, 태양․번영․영원을 상징하는 천년의 새(鳥) 봉황을 표현하였다.
“천년의 빛 영광”은 영광군이 찬란한 역사를 바탕으로 장래에 새로운 번영을 이룩하고자 하는 의지와 염원을 표현한 것이다.
또한, 야간 시각효과를 이용한 LED를 사용하여 경관적 효과 및 야간안전 활용도를 고려하였으며 조형물 하단부는 기원의 의미를 가지는 기단으로 디자인 하였다.
④ 원불교 국제마음훈련원 (서옥화, 김승희, 강원필)
영산 국제마음훈련원은 원불교 기본교리의 반영과 새로운 프로그램의 요구에 대한 건축적 제안으로 시작되었으며, 원불교 100주년을 기념하는 전통과 미래비전에 대한 상징성을 건축적으로 표현하였다.
원불교의 성지라는 역사적 맥락과 더불어 대지가 갖고 있는 산지라는 지형적 특성, 그리고 종교적 교리에 부합하는 자연환경에 대한 존중의 개념을 도입하였다.
또한, 경사지를 이용한 조망과 일조, 진입과 공간경험 (site journey)을 건축적 전략으로 제시하였다.
영산 국제마음훈련원은 순례의 길을 상징하는 선형적 배치 개념을 도입하여 주보행로에서 주요 시설들이 나뭇가지 형태로 연결되도록 계획하였으며, 지열과 태양열을 이용한 에너지절약기법과 경사지의 최상부 댐과 연지를 조성하여 수량을 조절하고, 사계절 물이 흐르는 친환경 전략을 사용하여 디자인 하였다.
⑤ 글로리 영광굴비 타워 (정용호, 김심철, 안유자)
영광 굴비타워는 굴비산업 특구에 걸맞은 신활력사업의 일환으로 굴비의 고장 이미지를 한층 더 부각시키고 브랜드 가치를 높이기 위해 설치하였다.
‘포구의 꿈’을 명제로 하여 상부의 굴비는 다이아몬드형의 비닐을 투조형식으로 상징화하여 생동감 있는 영광굴비를 표현했으며, 하부의 기단은 출향하여 만선으로 귀향하는 풍요로운 고깃배를 상징한다. 원형의 구는 조기의 알을 이미지화하여 조형화 하였으며, 뒤편 타원형의 구조물은 드넓은 바다 아침을 밝히는 찬란한 빛을 돛형상으로 표현하였다. 포구에 설치되는 점을 고려하여 해수 및 해풍에 대한 내구성이 스텐레스 스틸을 사용하여 부식 방지 등 유지관리를 도모하였다. |

It publicized Bulgap-myeon, the largest natural habitat for Magic Lily in Korea, around the country, and expressed the image for enhancing the local residents’ pride in the tourist attraction linked to tourism resources in the vicinities, and implied the image reflecting on the meaning of true love while walking along the flowery road and watching the beautiful scenery of Bulgapsan looking as if it were covered with a red carpet together with a child.
In addition, a design reminding us of the flower language of Magic Lily was used while the theme of the festival, ‘the love of a thousand years blossoms as Magic Lily,’ was emphasized.
③ Glory Yeonggwang Tower (Jeong-Hwan Lee, Jang-Bo Sim and Ji-Yeong Jang)
The design concept is the ‘container for the thousand years of light.’ It embodies the harmony of Yeonggwang-gun, and the millenium light of the world hoping for the united will and development, and expressed the phoenix, the millenium bird symbolizing the sun, prosperity and eternity.
“The millenium light, Yeonggwang” expresses the will and desire to be prosperous in the future on the basis of the brilliant history of Yeonggwang-gun.
Also, LED based on the nightly visual effect was used and the landscape effect and the utility for safety at night were taken into consideration, and the bottom of the sculpture was designed as the stylobate meaning pray.
④ Won-Buddhism International Mind Training Center 국제마음훈련원 (용어???) (Ok-Hwa Seo, Seung-Hee Kim and Won-Pil Kang)
The International Mind Training Center in Yeongsan started as an architectural proposal in reflection of the basic doctrines of Won Buddhism and in response to the request for a new program, and expressed the tradition, i.e. the 100th anniversary of Won Buddhism, and its symbolism for the vision of the future.
Along with the historical context as the holy land of Won Buddhism, it reflected the topographical characteristics of the lot, i.e. mountainous area, and introduced the concept of respect for the natural environment consistent with the religious doctrines.
Also, the view using slopes, access and site journey were presented as an architectural strategy.
The International Mind Training Center in Yeongsan introduced the concept of linear arrangement symbolizing the road of pilgrimage, and main facilities are connected like leaves on the main passage way. Geothermal heat and solar heat are used to save energy, and the dam at the top of the slope forms a pond to control water volume. The environment-friendly strategy, i.e. ensuring water flows in all four seasons, was used for this design.
⑤ Glory Yeonggwang Gulbi (dried corvina) Tower (Yeong-Ho Jeong, Sim-Cheol Kim and Yoo-Ja Ahn)
The Yeonggwang Gulbi Tower was installed to further enhance the image as the home of Gulbi and raise the brand value as part of the effort to invigorate the new business befitting the special Gulbi industrial zone.
The Gulbi at the top with the theme of ‘The Dream of A Port,’ vividly expressed Yeonggwang Gulbi by symbolizing the diamond-shaped vinyl as openwork, and the stylobate at the bottom symbolizes an abundant fishing boat that returns with a full load of fish. The round sphere embodies the eggs of Gulbi, and the oval structure in the rear expressed the brilliant light shining on the vast sea in the morning as a sail. Considering that it is installed at the port, stainless steel resistant against seawater and sea breeze was used to ensure maintenance like prevention of corrosion. |
