대구에 KBS <1박 2일> 팀이 떴다!!
한국 대표 예능프로그램인 1박 2일 멤버들이 대구에서 점심 미션을 수행했는데요.
방송에도 출연한 대구 대표 음식들은 과연 무엇일까요? 하나씩 소개해드릴게요~
1. 납작만두 – 교동시장
얇은 만두피에 부추와 당면으로 만두소를 넣고 반달모양으로 납작하게 만든 납작만두! 납작만두는 서문시장의 미성당과 대구의 오랜 역사와 전통이 담긴 교동시장이 유명한데요. 역시 시장음식은 옹기종기 쪼그리고 앉아 먹어야 제 맛!! 저렴한 가격에 푸짐한 양으로 주머니 가벼운 학생들에게 인기 폭발인 곳이랍니다.
2. 막창 – 안지랑 곱창골목
저지방 고단백 음식으로 유명한 대구막창은 안지랑 곱창골목이 유명하죠! 대구 젊은이들이 많이 찾는 젊음의 거리이기도 한데요. 저렴한 가격에 푸짐한 양, 맛까지 좋아 친구들과 함께 소주 한 잔 기울일 수 있는 부담 없는 곳이죠. 2012년에는 대한민국 음식테마거리로 지정되어 대구경북을 대표하는 맛거리로 이름을 알리고 있답니다.
3. 따로국밥
밥과 국을 따로 내어준다고 유래된 따로국밥! 사골과 사태를 밤새도록 고아낸 육수에 대파와 무를 넣고 고춧가루와 다진 마늘을 듬뿍 넣어 얼큰하고 매운 듯하면서도 개운한 뒷 맛이 일품인 음식이죠. 대구 10미 중 하나이기도 한 따로국밥을 먹고나면 하루 종일 든든~하답니다.
4. 딸기케이크 – 커피명가
20년 넘게 대구 동성로 중앙 한자리를 차지하고 있는 대구 토종 브랜드 ‘커피명가’의 대표 메뉴랍니다. 시즌 한정판 메뉴인 딸기케이크는 싱싱한 딸기를 얇게 저며서 층층히 쌓아올리고 사이사이 생크림으로 메운 케익 속이 아주 예술이죠.
5. 칼국수 – 서문시장
대구를 대표하는 재래시장이자 관광명소인 서문시장에서는 단돈 2500원에 양푼 가득 칼국수를 담아주시는 아주머니의 푸짐한 인심을 느낄 수 있는데요. 멸치육수로 우려낸 구수한 국물과 옛날식으로 뽑아낸 면발은 손칼국수맛 그대로 살아있답니다. 별그대 드라마 촬영지 보고, 원조 치킨 맛도 보고!

한글에서 치킨과 맥주의 앞단어만 뽑아 만든 신조어인데요.
최근 종영한 한국 드라마 <별에서 온 그대>에서 전지현이 맡았던 여주인공(천송이)이 가장 좋아하는 음식이었죠. 이 드라마가 중국에서도 선풍적인 인기를 얻으며 중국 본토에 ‘치맥’ 열풍이 불고 있다는 사실!!
‘치맥’이라면 대구가 빠질 수 없죠. 대구와 인근 경북에는 양계장이 많아서 좋은 품질의 닭고기로 맛있는 치킨 양념을 개발해 치킨의 본고장이 되었는데요! 지난해 7월에는 치맥페스티벌을 개최해 무려 30만 명이 다녀가기도 했었어요.

첫번째로 안내할 곳은 ‘신천’입니다.
대구 도심을 가로지르는 신천은 남측으로는 비슬산에서 시작해 금호강으로 흘러들어가는 길이 12.5km에 달하는 지방하천입니다.
대구 시민들에게는 도심 속 휴식공간으로 큰 사랑을 받고 있는데요. 봄에는 개나리와 벚꽃, 여름에는 물놀이장, 가을에는 자전거도로, 겨울에는 아이스링크장으로도 활용되면서 팔방미인의 모습을 보여주는 신천!
신천에는 벌써 개나리가 활짝! 장관을 이루고 있어요.
산책로에는 많은 대구 시민들이 나와서 봄나들이를 즐기고 있었답니다.
자전거를 타는 사람들~ 가족과~ 연인과 손잡고 산책을 즐기는 사람들~
모두들 활짝 핀 개나리에서 눈을 못 떼시네요. ^_^
신천은 천연기념물인 수달과 청둥오리, 백로 등 야생동물의 서식지로도 잘 알려져 있는데요.
대도시의 도심 한가운데에서 야생동물들을 직접 볼 수 있는 곳, 흔치 않을 거에요~

Members of Korea’s renowned Entertainment Program, <1 Night 2 Days>, have embarked on a covert mission to locate Daegu’s favorite dishes! What delicacies have they uncovered this time? Let’s find out~
1. Flat Dumplings – Gyodong Market
Flat Dumplings are filled with chives and noodles, covered by extra thin dumpling skin, and pressed into thin crescent pockets of deliciousness! This delicacy is highly sought after in the Miseong Restaurant located in Seomoon Market, and the birthplace of Daegu’s history and tradition, Gyodong Market. Crouch together in the crowded market for a helping of this cheap but filling dish, making it a favorite of Daegu’s student population!
2. Makchang – Anjirang Gobchang Alley
Low in fat and high in protein, Daegu Makchang is Anjirang Gobchang Alley’s most popular dish! Also known as the Alley of Youth, Anjirang Gobchang Alley bustles with young and hungry customers who are out for cheap prices, generous servings, and addictive taste. It offers the younger generation a venue for friends to tip their glasses of Soju in an inviting and comfortable setting. In 2012, this alley was designated as Korea’s favorite food-themed avenue and has since been home to Daegu’s most beloved restaurants.
3. Ddarogookbab
Ddarogookbab originates from the concept of serving rice separately from the soup. Served with simmering broth from beef leg bone and beef shank, and seasoned with green onion, white radish, red pepper powder and diced garlic, this dish is spicy but refreshing! As one of Daegu’s top ten dishes, Ddarogookbab is sure to keep you full for the day!
4. Strawberry Cake – Coffee Myungga
Strawberry Cake is a favorite dish of Daegu’s local brand, Coffee Myungga, which has operated at Daegu Dongseong-ro for the past twenty years. A seasonal favorite and a masterpiece of bakery, it is made out of thinly sliced strawberries that have been cemented together with fresh whipped cream.
5. Kalgooksoo – Seomoon Market
At Seomoon Market, one of Daegu’s most popular conventional markets and tourist attractions, you will have the opportunity to taste Daegu’s hospitality in its large bowl of hot Kalgooksoo for the cheap price of 2,500 Korean Won (approximately 2.2 USD). Served in anchovy broth, its noodle stripes are reminiscent of Korea’s traditional hand-made Kalgooksoo. Taste the original seasoned chicken at the filming grounds of “My Love from the Star”
Take the Chimaek tour at the home of the chicken industry, Daegu!
How familiar are you with the term Chimaek? It is a relatively new addition to the Korean vocabulary which refers to the combination of Chicken and beer.
Chimaek is the favorite food of Cheon Song-yi in the recently concluded drama series “My Love from the Star.” It is rumored that the show’s high viewing rate in China has contributed to the recent popularity of Chimaek in China!
Chimaek is extremely popular in Daegu as well. In fact, Daegu is known as the origin of Korea’s seasoned chicken industry due to its tasty chicken seasoning and the high quality of chickens grown in the poultry farms in the surrounding area.
