Lion)이다. 국내 12개 단체, 해외 15개 공연단이 참가해 탈춤은 물론 사자탈놀이와 현대무용 등을 공연한다. 축제의 주제와 관련 있는 일본, 대만, 한국의 사자춤이 선보인다. 일본 내에서도 독특한 오키나와의 문화를 보여 줄 오키나와 사자춤과 화려한 색채와 역동적인 몸짓을 보여 줄 대만사자춤, 한국 사자춤을 대표하는 북청사자놀음이 공연된다. 세 팀이 함께 공연할 10월 4일(19시~20시 30분)공연은 더욱 기대를 모으고 있다. 특히 올해 안동국제탈춤페스티벌에서는 축제장 곳곳에서 출몰하는 탈놀이단 ‘으르렁’을 만나볼 수 있다. 축제 기간 중 매일 4~5회 게릴라성 공연을 펼치게 될 ‘으르렁’은 탈을 쓴 다수의 놀이단이 펼치는 마스크 상인 퍼포먼스이다. 한 곳의 목적지를 향해 달려가 합동 퍼포먼스를 펼치는 점핑펌핑라이언, 공연장을 찾은 어린이를 위한 ‘어린이 포토타임’ 등 탈과 관련된 대중 프로그램으로 축제장을 찾은 관광객들에게 웃음과 재미를 선물할 예정이다. 하회마을에서 펼쳐지는 선유줄불놀이 한국 축제의 미학은 신명과 풍류이다. 풍류를 느끼고자 하는 사람들은 시내 탈춤공연장이 아닌 하회마을의 자연경관을 활용한 은은한 전통불꽃놀이인 선유줄불놀이 찾기를 권한다. 9월 27일과 10월 4일 저녁 7시 1년에 딱 두 번의 기회가 있다. 800여년의 역사를 가진 하회마을, 서정적 낙동강, 마을의 정원 부용대, 만송정의 아름다운 자연경관을 그대로 활용해 은은하고 오랜 전통적 불꽃놀이의 진수를 보여준다. 축제 시작을 여는 9월 26일 개막일에는 오전 10시 하회마을에서 강신(降神)마당과 길놀이를 진행해 하회별신굿탈놀이의 전 과정을 살펴볼 수 있다. 올해 축제는 제43회 안동민속축제와 동시 개최된다. 안동민속축제에는 안동의 매력적인 민속놀이들이 총집합하는데 그 중 남성들의 대동놀이인 차전놀이는 힘과 열정이 넘치는 동채싸움으로 많은 사람들에게 감흥을 준다. 10월 3일 오후 2시 30분부터 경연무대에서 30분간 진행될 예정이며 공민왕 몽진 시 노국공주를 위해 인교(人橋)를 만들었던 안동 사람들의 충심으로 시작 된 놋다리밟기는 9월 28일 오후 4시부터 30분간 진행된다. 잊지 못할 추억을 선물할 신명의 ‘탈놀이’ 안동국제탈춤페스티벌은 관람형의 축제가 아닌 참여형 축제이다. 축제 프로그램 가운데 가장 쉽게, 그리고 가장 신나게, 그리고 가장 축제다움을 느낄 수 있는 프로그램은 단연 대동난장 퍼레이드이다. 대동난장 퍼레이드는 축제장에 어둠이 깔리는 밤 시간에 탈과 축제의상으로 중무장한 세계탈놀이경연대회 참여팀, 관광객, 축제 자원봉사자 등 다양한 연령과 계층이 탈춤으로 하나 되는 축제 메인 프로그램이다. 9월 27일과 29일, 30일, 10월 1일, 4일 오후 6시 30분부터 1시간동안 탈춤공원에서 진행된다. 또 9월 29일부터 10월 5일까지 8일간 매일 탈춤 따라 배우기를 할 수 있는 체험프로그램을 배치했다. 하회별신굿탈놀이의 기본무를 테마로 한 축제 공식 댄스 탈랄라 댄스를 비롯해 안동을 대표하는 하회별신굿탈놀이를 배워볼 수 있는 탈춤따라배우기는 축제장을 찾을 1600여명의 체험학습단에게 특별한 축제의 경험을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이밖에 탈 조형물의 집중배치로 재미를 높인다. 탈을 중심으로 한 팔각부조, 주제와 관련된 5m~6m 크기의 탈조형물이 탈춤공연장 앞 ‘탈조형물존’에 배치된다. ‘세계의 탈’을 주제로 4개존 30점이 전시 될 탈조형물존에는 그동안 축제를 찾은 45개국 157개 단체의 탈과 탈춤과 관련된 조형물이 배치돼 축제의 역사를 살펴볼 수 있도록 한다. 지난 안동국제탈춤페스티벌 장면. / 관광객들이 안동국제탈춤페스티벌을 즐기고 있다. |
