STX엔진의 방위산업용 디젤엔진은 세계 최첨단 신형 디젤엔진으로서 소형, 경량, 고출력에 초점을 두고 설계되었습니다. 알루미늄과 고장력 단조강을 소재로 하여 중절삭과 초정밀 가공을 거쳐 만들어진 엔진 부품을 사용, 고마력·고속회전을 유지하며, 극한 상황에서도 그 성능을 정확하게 발휘합니다. STX엔진은 독일의 MTU사와 기술제휴를 통해 육군의 K2전차, K1A1전차, K1 및 계열전차인 구난전차, 교량전차 엔진을 비롯해, K9자주포, K10탄약운반차, K55자주포, K56탄약운반차, K77 사격지휘장갑차, 해군의 신형구축함, 고속정, 호위함, 초계함, 지원함, 상륙돌격장갑차, 잠수함과 해양경비안전본부의 경비정등에 사용되는 엔진을 생산하고 있습니다.
STX엔진은 보다 실질적인 봉사활동을 위해 임직원들이 자발적으로 봉사단을 구성하여 2005년도부터 경남지역 주요 복지시설의 자원봉사활동과 인근지역 산, 하천 정화활동을 주기적으로 실시하고 있습니다. STX엔진은 현재 17개 봉사단에서 지역사회의 저소득층 생계와 주거환경 개선을 위해 자원봉사활동을 실시하고 있습니다. 또한 사내봉사활동의 할성화를 위해 정기적인 교육 및 봉사활동 지원등의 적극적인 후원을 하고 있으며 이를 통해 임직원들에게 동기를 부여하고 있습니다. STX엔진은 향후 사회공헌활동의 중장기 전략을 수립하고 기업의 특성에 맞는 중점사업을 개발하여 지역사회와 함께 발전하는 나눔경영을 적극 실천할 계획입니다. |

STX Engine started in 1976 as a manufacturer specializing in diesel engines and played a central role in the development of the shipbuilding and the machine industry in Korea after being designated as a defense contractor in 1977, and both the marine engines and motor engines are seen as having a competitive edge globally. Leaping forward as a Global New Leader of electronic communications on the foundation of the accumulated technical prowess in the engine field, the company is expanding in the global market thanks to its R&D and quality innovation. Also, through technological cooperation with outstanding overseas companies, the small class, mid class and large class gas turbine package business portfolio has been created to actively target the gas turbine development market, and in the future, the company will launch forward leading the global development market.
Currently, even amidst a rapidly changing management environment, STX Engine follows the mental attitude of “establish basic rules and everything else will naturally fall into place” as it prepares for a new launch. The company thoroughly confirms the basics of all categories from the start, and holds customer satisfaction, stockholder satisfaction and social responsibility as its highest priorities through faithfulness to the basics of the work it pursues with individuals and in each category.

We produce world-class advanced engines, small, lightweight, high output, high performance defense industry engines.
STX Engine’s defense industry diesel engines are designed with a focus on being small, lightweight, and having high output. Using engine parts made from aluminum and high strength forged steel materials and that have passed a process of heavy cutting and ultra-precision machining we maintain high horsepower, and high speed rotation, and performance is right on target even in extreme situations.
Through a technical cooperation with the German company MTU, STX Engine is producing engines for vehicles including the army’s K2 Tank, K1A1 Tank, K1 and rescue tank series, armored vehicle engines, K9 Self-propelled Howitzer, K10 Mobile Munitions Vehicle, K55 Self-propelled Howitzer, K56 Ammunition Resupply Vehicle, K77 Fire Direction Center Vehicle, and for water craft including the Korean Navy’s New Aegis Ship, high speed boat, convoy, patrol frigate, support ship, amphibious assault landing vehicle, submarines and Republic of Korea Coastguard’s patrol boats.
To implement more substantial volunteer work, STX Engine has a volunteer group that was spontaneously created by employees and has been active with volunteer activities in major welfare facilities in the Gyeongnam Region, and also takes part in the regular clean up of mountain areas and stream purification.
STX Engine currently has 17 volunteer groups working to improve the livelihood and living environment of low income people in the local community.
Also, to stimulate in-house volunteer activity, the company actively sponsors regular education and volunteer activity support, and gives this as a motivation for employees to take part.
In the future STX Engine will establish a medium and long term strategy for social contribution activities by developing focused business that is suitable to the characteristics of business with plans to actively practice a management of sharing where local society can develop together with us. |
