이 연구는 부적응을 가지고 있는 아동에게 미술놀이치료 프로그램을 실시하여 아동의 문제행동감소 및 또래관계와 학교생활 태도 수준을 향상시켜 부적응 문제를 극복하고 아동이 속해있는 사회 속에서 적응 할 수 있도록 하기 위한 목적으로 실시하였다. 이를 수행하기 위해 아동의 문제행동 및 또래관계 개선, 학교생활적응에 초첨을 두어 효과를 검증하였다. 연구대상은 초등학교 1,2,3학년 부적응아동 23명을 대상으로 실험집단, 비교집단, 대조집단으로 나누어 9주 동안 매주 2회씩 18회기의 미술놀이치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구척도는 K-CBCL 척도, 또래관계 척도, 학교생활 적응 척도를 통하여 반복측정분산분석 통계 처리하였다.
이에 미술놀이치료 프로그램이 부적응아동의 문제행동 및 또래관계, 학교생활적응에 효과가 있는지 알아본 결과, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 미술놀이치료 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단에서 문제행동과 또래관계, 학교생활 적응이 가장 높게 나타났고, 다음으로 미술치료를 실시한 비교집단의 문제행동과 또래관계, 학교생활 적응이 높게 나타났다. 그리고 통제집단의 문제행동과 또래관계, 학교생활 적응은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 부적응 아동에게 심리치료적인 미술치료도 효과를 보이지만 이 연구에서는 부적응을 가지고 있는 저학년 아동에게 미술치료와 놀이를 활용한 미술놀이치료 프로그램이 부적응아동의 문제행동 및 또래관계, 학교생활적응에 긍정적인 영향이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

This study was carried out to improve the maladjusted children’s behavior and their attitude towards school and their friends – thereby overcoming their problems of maladjustment and help them to adapt well to their environment and society, by providing art game therapy program to these children. In detail, the program was performed with focus on the children’s problematic behavior; relationship improvement with their peers and adaptation to school life. Then the effects of the program were evaluated. 23 children in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade elementary school were selected and the art game therapy program was carried out for 9 weeks, twice a week (18 programs in total). The children were divided into “test group”, “comparison group” and “contrastive group”. The indexes of measure used for this study were K-CBCL index, peer-relationship index, and school life adaptation index. And these measures underwent repeated measure ANOVA.
Then whether the art game therapy program have any effects on the maladjusted children and on their problematic behaviors, peer-relationship and their adaptation to school life was evaluated, to which the statistical results showed clear effects. Among the test group, the highest effects on the problematic behavior, peer-relationship and school life adaptation was shown. It was followed by the comparison group. And lastly for the controlled group, there was not much difference shown in terms of problematic behavior, peer-relationship and school life adaptation. Therefore, although it is true that the art therapy (a form of psychological therapy) does have positive effects, in this study, it was shown that the therapy that integrates play and art therapy also have positive effects on the problematic behavior, peer-relationship and school life adaptation for maladjusted children of lower grades in the elementary school.
