[수성구 “자전거 타기 좋은 도시 만든다”]

대구 수성구청이 자전거 보관대를 점검하는 등 자전거 편의 시설 집중 관리에 들어갔다.
수성구는 자전거 이용률을 높이고 이용자의 편의를 돕기 위해 시설물 교체·보수와 함께 이용자가 많은 지역을 중심으로 자전거 시설을 추가 설치한다.
수성구는 자전거 시설 추가 설치에 앞서 수성구에 설치된 자전거 보관대 312곳(2천338대)과 태양광 공기주입기 12곳에 대한 대대적인 점검을 벌였다.
수성구는 조사 결과에 따라 오는 11월 말까지 파손되고 훼손된 시설물을 교체 또는 보수할 계획이다.
또 자전거 이용자가 많은 지하철역, 공원, 도서관, 학교 주변 등을 중심으로 자전거 보관대 13곳과 자전거 타이어에 바람을 넣을 수 있는 태양광 공기주입기 6대를 확대 설치할 방침이다.
수성구는 이번 일제 정비를 통해 도난 예방 등 자전거 보관의 안정성을 높이는 것은 물론 이용 환경이 크게 개선될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
수성구청 관계자는 “자전거 이용 활성화를 위해 자전거 보관대 등 관련 편의시설을 지속적으로 확충해 나가겠다”며 “자전거를 이용하는 주민들의 불편이 최소화되도록 정기적 점검 등 체계적인 사후관리에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

대구 수성구는 경주 세계문화엑스포공원에서 중학생 30명을 대상으로 ‘외국인과 함께하는 문화체험’을 운영했다.
이번 문화체험에는 수성구에 있는 23개 중학교로부터 추천받은 학생 30명과 원어민 강사 6명이 참여, 엑스포공원의 다양한 문화 프로그램을 체험했다.
참가자들은 오리엔테이션과 함께 학생 5명과 원어민 강사 1명으로 팀을 구성, 오전에는 경주타워, 천마의 궁전 관람, 영어 질문과 함께 진행하는 림보, 야구게임 등을 즐겼다.
오후에는 화석박물관 견학 및 화석 발굴 체험, 영어 OX게임, 신라시대 화랑을 코믹하게 묘사한 ‘플라잉’ 공연 관람 등에 참여했다.
수성구청 관계자는 “외국인과 문화체험을 즐기며 교실에서 할 수 없었던 실용영어를 배울 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위해 이 프로그램을 운영하고 있다”며 “국제적 명품도시 수성구로 나아갈 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 개발해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 수성구는 지난 2009년부터 외국인과 함께하는 문화체험을 시작해 매년 ‘1박 2일 캠프’와 ‘1일 캠프’를 각각 1회씩 정기적으로 운영해 호응을 얻고 있다.

대구 수성구청은 법률, 세무, 건축 무료 상담에 이어 내년부터 부동산 상담을 추가 운영한다.
부동산 상담은 매월 첫째 주 목요일 오전 10시부터, 법률 상담은 매주 목요일 오후 2시부터, 건축 상담은 셋째 주 목요일 오전 10시부터, 세무 상담은 매월 둘째, 넷째 주 목요일 오전 10시부터 각각 2시간씩 구청 종합민원실 담소카페에서 이뤄진다.
수성구는 지난 2010년 7월 법률 상담을 시작으로 2012년 2월부터 세무, 건축 상담을 추가 운영해왔으며, 변호사, 세무사, 회계사, 건축사 등 전문가의 상담을 통해 연 평균 250여명의 고민이나 궁금증을 해소해 주고 있다.

Daegu’s Suseong-gu ran a ‘Cultural experience with foreigners’ program for thirty middle school students at Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park.
For this cultural experience, thirty students recommended by 23 middle schools in Suseong-gu and 6 native speaker teachers participated and enjoyed various cultural program at the Expo Park.
After an orientation, the participants formed teams that consisted of 1 native speaker teacher and 5 students, and spent the morning visiting the Gyeongju Tower and Palace of the Flying Horse, and enjoyed Limbo, a game that asks English questions, and a baseball game.
In the afternoon, the participants visited a fossil museum and experienced fossil excavation, played an English OX game, and watched a performance of ‘Flying’ that comically depicts the hwarangs of the Shilla era.
